Many cities are beginning the process of Banning Styrofoam and Polystrene Coated containers used in the food industry.

Recently Oakland and San Francisco have established rulings banning Polystyrene Coated Styrofoam.

The State of California and Legislation in regards to Compostable and Recycable Waste as to Plastic Bags, Polystyrene Coated Styrofoam and other related waste products that is seriously impacting our landfills as they do not compost as well as they are toxic as they are manufactured with petroleum based materials.

APAC Bio-Paper & Plastic through our research of many manufactures and established relations have alternate solutions with Bagasse a product derived from the Pulp of Sugar Cane and PLA a Polylactate Resin derived from Corn.

These products are fully compostable within 40 to 180 days of which goes right back into the soil as they are fully bio-degradeable.

Bagasse can be used in Microwaves and has been fully tested to not leak under normal usage with either Oil or Water.

We are working with another manufacture of which will be online for production soon with another alternative using another bio-degradable product which is fully compostable and will take higher temperatures which is derived from corn resin and other bio-degradable material which will be fully compostable, the time period of it being fully compostable has not been determined however though it should be in a reasonable time.
